For 19 years before we set up Nus de Pedra in 2008, Joan worked as the director of a chemicals firm, and Montse at the Department of Culture. Although we both have tourism degrees and worked in the sector at the start of our careers, it was in 2008 that we decided to reinvent ourselves and return to the world of tourism, transforming our working and family life. Together with our 3 children we founded El Nus de Pedra: quality rural accommodation. And so we can assure you that this is a family project, created to open our house up to rural tourism. We were drawn to and fell in love with El Nus de Pedra from the very start; the centuries-old stones, the palpable peace and quiet, unspoiled nature, far enough and close enough to everything…

We are nature lovers well familiar with the surrounding area. We love hiking, enjoy local traditions and all the values that we wish to share with you, by offering you a relaxing, quality stay. We also aim to provide accommodation that you can enjoy at your own pace, in privacy, surrounded by peace and nature. We will be on hand to look after you whenever you need us.

Our venture was inspired by the desire to welcome people who want to enjoy the surroundings, tranquillity, a space to be with the family, time as a couple. We cater to the needs of each of our guests. We love the farmhouse, taking care of every little detail, and delight in sharing it with you. The number of rural apartments we run allows us to offer a direct and personal touch.

The farmhouse is a traditional Catalan fortified construction dating from the 17th century (1622), the main building comprising 3 storeys around a courtyard, the old barns, the water tank and a pitched roof. It is built from the traditional local limnic stone.
